Woodland Jewels shows the familiar form and ambling charm of a turtle, posed as if caught mid-step. The shell is an opulent design of bas-relief scrolls encircling 33 hand-set crystals in brilliant hues from deep amethyst to pale yellow. And the face - with its gentle expression - is hand painted.
