The Kraken House From Department 56 Collection

Finally bought the Kraken House and boy is it worth all the hype. Absolutely love it!

I remember a short time before the release of this village piece seeing a Halloween photo of a real home in the South with inflated green tentacles coming out of the windows! The tentacles wrapped around the home as if it were being swallowed up by a sea creature! Wow!!! Department 56 nailed it again with this innovative piece! Listed Country N More Gifts as my go to company for all things Department 56 and received this adorable piece for Christmas! I can’t wait to display it for the first time! The paint job and lighting is, as usual superb. This house is a must have for Trick or Treat Lane fans! Totally in LOVE!!

What a bold design for Trick or Treat Lane. Love the treasure chest with the pirate jack o lantern and the anchor. The green lights set the piece apart. The Pirate theme is in!

I didn't rush to buy it when it first come out, because I didn't like it! The reason from the pictures the green lights were the first thing I saw with the black cord. I got over it and bought it since no more Trick or Treat house this year and of course the discounts. Surprise I like it and the lights weren't that much of an issue.

As soon as this house was released, I knew I had to have it. Now that I have it set up in my village, I can confirm that it is absolutely as perfect as it seemed online. The price through CountryNMore made it much easier to justify, so I got it faster than I had originally planned. The eerie green light makes for top tier spooky vibes!
