The simplicity and elegance of this memorial says it all. I had written to Dept. 56 three years ago asking if they'd consider such a piece (actually I was suggesting buildings, but this is just as nice and being a memorial piece, probably even more meaningful). I was very pleased to see this produced and it's now in my Christmas in the City display.

It would have been better to have plugged in instead of battery operated, but just the same, I'm happy to have it. Lighting shines all the way up to the ceiling, much like the actual Memorial lights do with the sky. Very nice.

I really love the doves so much I purchased 9 sets to put in my layout. They make a wonderful addition to my Christmas layout. They are made very well and will last forever. I plan on getting more of them.
