Halloween wasn't a thing back in the 1820's when the Legend of Sleepy Hollow was written. The story is set in a secluded village known as Sleepy Hollow about a lanky newcomer & schoolmaster Ichabod Crane who courts a young heiress.

The piece is so wonderfully crafted Ichabod comes to life as he saunters down the Sleepy Hollow Lane reading away not aware to the Headless Horseman coming to haunt. Highly recommend this pivotal piece of every Sleep Hallow display.
