The Griffith Tower

This building is so amazing. Once I removed from box I was stunned. Very well made. So glad I purchased.

The Griffith Tower is growing on me. It is a good addition to my Christmas in the City NYC Landscape. It blends very well with the other Department 56 tall buildings. I like the use of LEDs for the lighting. Also, the contrast between the white light of the spire and the warm lights inside the building is appealing. The Griffith Tower does not have the eye-catching elements like the Empire State Building, Times Tower, Chrysler Building, or the Daily Planet, but it is still a very good addition.

The retail price of the Department 56 buildings is too high (along with the size building decreasing). I appreciate Country N More Gifts providing discounts to make their pieces affordable for those of us on a fixed income.

The only issue I have with this order was the packaging. The D56 packaging/box was too close to the surface of the shipping box. When I cut the box open, I cut the D56 box. As a collector, I try to keep both the building and the box in mint condition, and for the first time, I have damaged the packaging.

Absolutely a beautiful piece and go great with the rest of my tall city buildings. Excellent customer service from Countrynmoregifts and easy to pre-order.

Finally a new skyscraper to add to my collection.I wish more skyscrapers next years
