The London Zoological Gardens is the world's oldest scientific zoo and originally intended for scientific study. Opened in 1828 the zoo was opened for public viewing in 1848. The set of 2 includes the brick gate house and ostrich figurine.

It took me a couple of years before. I actually decided that I wanted to start this series in Dickens Village. After seeing the quality of this entry level piece with the beautiful ostrich definitely has me looking forward to ordering all the other pieces that are in this collection.

I purchased the "Great Grape Stomping" figurine to go with my North Pole Winery and it was a perfect match. Great holiday feel to it and works especially well if you have a North Pole themed scene. Hand painted with fine detail, two elves make grapes into wine the old fashioned way. A great addition to my Christmas Village.
