The twinkle brite lights are a shade of blue, not the purple that you would want with a Halloween display.

Sparkly tree that looks better in the dark

In the dark, this tree is bright and twinkles to become a real focus in your Department 56 decor, it's a lot of fun! When it's not lit, it's sort of sad-looking doesn't really add anything to the display when it's off unlike other buildings and items which look great with or without light. I'm glad I bought it though as it adds a pop of spooky purple fun in my display when it turns on at night and my kids just love it!
