I wanted this item for a while but was concerned about having to turn the battery-operated light on and off manually. I have not seen this noted about the product, but it does have a timer. My daughter has several Christmas Vacation pieces she displays each holiday season. I wanted to get her Todd and Margo's house, but was appalled at the prices I saw online at other stores.
