The Kraken House From Department 56 Collection

I didn't rush to buy it when it first come out, because I didn't like it! The reason from the pictures the green lights were the first thing I saw with the black cord. I got over it and bought it since no more Trick or Treat house this year and of course the discounts. Surprise I like it and the lights weren't that much of an issue.

As soon as this house was released, I knew I had to have it. Now that I have it set up in my village, I can confirm that it is absolutely as perfect as it seemed online. The price through CountryNMore made it much easier to justify, so I got it faster than I had originally planned. The eerie green light makes for top tier spooky vibes!

I was on the fence about purchasing the Kraken House, now I am glad I did. It is the lighting that really makes it stand out. It is an eerie neon shade of green. It isn't just a few lights; the whole house is lit up. I plan on using it in a display along with The Monsters of the Deep.

The Kraken house is so perfect for any Halloween display. I love Trick or Treat Lane but had grown a bit tired of the similar looking pieces. This piece is so different and so much fun! The lighting is awesome and eerie. It could be used in so many Halloween themed villages. I am planning a New Orleans Halloween village this year and it will be perfect for demonstrating the over the top Halloween displays that NOLA is known for. The quality is really nice too and reminds me of the pieces of old that were creative and exciting.
